Where

Villages across Dundas and Stormont County (specific areas TBA, depending on availability of volunteers)

Due to social distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Fill-a-Bag Food Drive has been cancelled. If you’d like to help during these difficult times, please consider making a cash donation here.

Each year, we ask everyone in our community to come together to make a difference and help us stock our shelves so that none of our neighbours go hungry this summer.

Last year, the Fill-a-Bag Food Drive collected over 17,000 lbs of food!

Here’s how simple it is to ensure none of our neighbours went hungry during the Summer::

  • On Weekend #1: Volunteers deliver an empty bag to your door

  • Throughout the Week: You filled the bag with food and left it on your front porch.

  • On Weekend #2: Volunteers pick up your donations!

Volunteers Wanted!

  • On week 1, you and your team will leave an empty bag on the front porch or in the mail box of each residence. This step will take about an hour.

  • On week 2, between 1 and 3 pm you and your team will return to pick up the food donations. This step will take no more than a couple of hours.

  • Your team will then drop off all donations at a central location.

To register teams, or if you have any questions, contact Jane at admin@communityfoodshare.ca or
(613) 898-0781.

I Didn’t Get a Bag

If the weekend has come and gone, but nobody dropped a bag off at your door, please email admin@communityfoodshare.ca or call any of our locations. A volunteer will be happy to come by and drop off a bag.

Nobody Picked Up My Bag

If no one has picked up your bag by 4 pm, please call 613-898-0781. We’ll arrange for a volunteer to pick-up your bag.
